Moms-to-be experience a long wait between that first, positive pregnancy test and the first major sonogram. It usually happens around 20 weeks. And they’re usually medical appointments.
You want to make sure your baby is safe and healthy, of course. But medical appointments are often brief. They’re focused strictly on measurements. Many parents are left hungry for connection.
That’s where the elective ultrasounds at Little Loves 3D4D steps in to fill the gap. You get peace of mind and a chance to form an early bond. You do it in comfortable surroundings rather than in a sterile medical environment.
What can an ultrasound see between 6 to 13 weeks?
At 6 weeks, we can detect the baby’s heartbeat. That little sound is often a big reassurance for parents at this stage.
If we try to see the baby, you’ll see something that looks like a “gummy bear” or “little bean.” You won’t see a detailed face, but that little flicker of life can be profound.
At this stage we can also use the Sneak Peek Clinical DNA test to confirm your pregnancy.
What can an ultrasound see between 14 to 20 weeks?
At this phase, we can determine the baby’s sex using 2D ultrasound. You can also pick up little wriggles. The baby has room to flip, kick and wave.
By the third trimester, the baby is usually too squished to do these things.
But 14 to 20 weeks is the perfect stage to pick up movements on the screen you might not even be able to feel yet.
You can take a 3D/4D peek now, but you won’t see a chubby little baby face. Babies at this phase haven’t developed a lot of body fat. Those charming chubby cheeks come later!
What can an ultrasound see between 26 and 34 weeks?
If you want the “perfect portrait” of your baby to be, this is the perfect time. Those chubby little cheeks have finally formed, and there’s still plenty of space for us to catch the baby’s appearance.
